Site Utilties Manager - NPI - Sligo
Job Description:
The Utilities Manager is responsible and accountable for the uptime and constant improvement of the reliability of all plant utilities and abatement systems onsite.
The Utilities Manager will take ownership of the reliability and availability of the utilities and abatement subsystem, focusing in GAP analysis and the identification and delivery of improvement projects.
The Utilities Manager will also take ownership of the reliability and availability of the API manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Primary Function of the Utilities Manager:
• Ensure the performance of day to day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain utility and abatement equipment to the highest possible level of uptime.
• Site Subject Matter Expert on utilities and abatement process and equipment related issues and provides guidance on same.
• Liaise with production to ensure equipment performance is maximised
• Maintain records and documentation on relevant Engineering Procedures and preventative/ demand maintenance.
• Liaise with Internal/External Engineering Personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining trouble shooting, and installing/commissioning equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for ensuring uninterrupted availability of Utilities and Abatement Equipment
• Management of Utilities equipment Maintenance Program to ensure equipment is performing as per site requirements.
• Design and execution of Site Utilities Maintenance Strategy to meet current and future business demands.
• Responsible for the presentation of technical data to stakeholders to ensure prompt decisions on equipment related issues.
• Scenario continuity planning for failure of utilities and proposed mitigation.
• Long range plan developed and updated yearly for capital requirements for replacement of critical equipment.
• Identification of key weekly engineering metrics and long range performance targets.
• Sourcing and maintenance of all external Utilities contractors.
• Coordination and approval of preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Design and delivery of area goals, schedules and timetables for activities.
• Delivery on the plant support engineers and engineering training gap analysis.
• Responsible for presenting and taking ownership of own area during regulatory inspections and corporate audits.
• Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
Requirements
• Degree or Masters in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• A Minimum of 3+ Years at Management level in Engineering Maintenance
• Including a total of 10+ years’ experience in engineering, with relevant utilities experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
• 3-5 years plus of Detailed knowledge of cGMP and regulatory requirements relating to the regulated healthcare industry.
Package:
€80K-€90K based on relevant prior experience
